Thank you for your service!

We are so pleased that so many of  you come out regularly to help out in the STARTS program!  Some of you are there almost every day, others we can count on for particular days – the same time-slot every week; so helpful for planning! – while still others come occasionally and provide valuable assistance, as well.

Many of you bring specialized skills which really heighten the quality of what we offer the children trough this tutoring/homework help and arts program.  

Thank you to every one of you who dedicate time every week, who re-organize your schedules, who come over after your work to make this happen!

While STARTS runs every school day from 2:30 – 6 p.m., let me invite you to another, one-off, opportunity to serve: this week-end we will carry out a yard sale to benefit the ministry of YesWeServe. 

The time is Saturday 17 March (St. Patrick’s Day) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 The location is – no rain! – in the parking lot across the street from Grace UMC on the SW corner of Third and Junipero in Long Beach, or – if the meteorologists get their prediction of rain right - in the multi-purpose room inside the church’s Admin building, at 2325 E 3^rd St, in the STARTS location.

We need your help to set up, take down, and run the tables, etc.,  Friday night (from 6 p.m.), and on Saturday, from 8 a.m.

We also welcome items you would like to donate to the yard sale!
